Choose to Stay In Gokyo
Gokyo is one of the most beautiful villages in the Everest region. Located on the western side of the Khumbu region, the village of Gokyo offers mesmerizing views of some of the world’s highest mountain peaks and the Gokyo lake is simply breathtaking. Enjoy a magical sunrise or sunset with a 360-degree view of the Himalayas and the magnificent Gokyo Lake from top of Gokyo Ri, from where you can also see the Ngozumpa Glacier, one of the longest glaciers in the Himalayas.
A small settlement near the meeting point of Lobuche and Khumbu glaciers, Lobuche offers breathtaking views of the majestic mountains. Lobuche is located at 4940m, making it one of the highest settlements in the Everest region. It is a popular settlement among trekkers, climbers, guides and porters as it lies on the famous Everest Base Camp trail. From Lobuche, people usually trek to Gorakh Shep, which is the last settlement with lodging facilities before heading up to EBC and Kala Patthar.
